    1. e.g. Scrum in rugby
      1. To improve this we should work at between 80-100% of 1 rep max with low repetitions of weights
        1. e.g Chest press (Maximum 100kg), 80kg -> 100kg, low repetitions (4-5)
        2. Definition: Maximum strength, or static strength, is the maximum force that can be applied by a muscle group to an immovable object
        3. Explosive Strength (muscular power)
          1. e.g. Jumping for a header in football
            1. To improve this we should work at 60-80% of 1 rep max with higher repetitions of weights
              1. e.g. Chest press (Maximum 100kg), 60kg -> 80kg, medium repetitions (6-8)
              2. Definition: Muscular power is the ability to contract the muscles with speed and force in one explosive act.
              3. Muscular endurance
                1. Definition: Muscular endurance is the ability of a single muscle or muscle group to work very hard for a limited period of time
                  1. e.g. mauling in rugby
                    1. To improve this we should work at between 40-60% of 1 rep max with high repetitions of weights
                      1. e.g. Chest press (Maximum 100kg), 40kg -> 60kg, high repetitions, 10+
