Purpose of Art

  1. Might not have any purpose to begin with; but might be the result of artist's impulse to create art

Types
1. Music
  1. 1) Music allows one to experience different emotion that is felt by the person who composed it such as joy, sadness as well as dramatic battles. e.g. Classical music by composers such as Mozart and Beethoven shows many of their emotion in their songs such as Beethoven's fifth symphony, which shows a variety of emotions such as anger and joy. http://blog.davidhthomas.net/2010/12/what-is-the-meaning-of-music-especially-classical-music-what-is-its-value/

Music give an insight to people in the modern day on the culture of those who lived in the past. e.g. Classical music have been produced over long periods of time from early 1600 to present time. The different musical style by many composers shows the different culture which each of them lived in.

  2. Paintings can provoke other people's thoughts about some of the world's major issues. (what's wrong with the world today with images that inspire to think - to convey ridicule through controversial images) Example: Polish artist Pawel Kuczynski creates satirical paintings filled with thought-provoking messages about the world today.

  3. Paintings can allow other's to understand the artist's better by showing them what the artist's sees in his or her world. (the abstract nature of art allows people of disabilities to express their artistic talents)
