1. Nursing assessment
  1. Monitor for signs and symptoms
    1. Scant, dark red, or brown vaginal spotting
    2. Unilateral stabbing pain
    3. One or two missed menses.
    4. Referred shoulder pain
    5. Nausea and vomiting
    6. Symptoms of hemorrhage and shock
      1. hypotension
      2. tachycardia
      3. pallor
2. Nursing Interventions
  1. Prepare the client for surgery and postoperative nursing care.
  2. Provide client education and psychological support.
  3. Replacement of fluid loss and maintenance of electrolyte balance.
