Prepositions
  1. Indicates the position of a noun or pronoun in relation to other words or show a relationship between words. They are generally placed in front of nouns.
    1. Common
      1. Under, like, near, in, on, past, among, around, between, across, during.
        1. We stood under the tree as it was raining.
      2. Special
        1. Some nouns, adjectives and verbs are always followed by particular prepositions.
          1. Different from, not different to or different than; between two, not among two; among three (or more), not between three (or more).
            1. The team ran onto the field. (Not: the team ran into the field.)
