all interventions are based on concerns about nature of childhood and how children should be treated ~
1. Children can be seen as investment for the future, intervention is based on the belief that they will grow up to be useful members of society

    1. the idea of rescue is based on the belief that children do not have the power to change their situation ~ children as victims continues to echo around the world yet studies have shown children are more resilient that given credit for
      1. children being seen as in need of charity can take away the social, economic and political situation of their suffering ~ despite claiming children should be above politics Save the children fund was based on the ideology that children had rights too ~ while other models of welfare state places different importance on individual responsibilities and social equalities
