Draw a conceptual map on CLIL. Remember, you will have to include what you know about the topic, how you learnt it, how you feel about the topic and what you want to learn further.
By: Sofía Álvarez Ferrer.
Before seeing it in
class I did not know
much about this topic
I knew about the
existence of centers
that teach subjects in
a foreign language
but I did not identify
this such as CLIL.
WHAT IS CLIL?
Annotations:
" CLIL refers to situations where subjects, or parts of subjects, are taught through a foreign language with dual-focused aims, manely the learning of content, and the simultaneous learning of a foreing language"
(David Marsh, 1994)
Advantages of CLIL
Students learn
more than one
language
It develops the
thinking process
of the brain
They can learn
new features of
cultures
Kids can enrich the understanding
of the concepts and help expand it.
Methodology
Scaffolding
Annotations:
Building on previous knowledge, skills, attitudes, interests and experience
Chunking and
repackage
Annotations:
Reorganising information to package again in a different or more attractive way.
Anchoring
Annotations:
Knowing the prior learning, existing knowledge and from there form a new learning
In class
Comprehensible input
Critical thinking
Workgroups
Related content with other
subjects
Use diagrams, games,
videos...
WHAT DO YOU
WANT TO LEARN
FURTHER?
I would like to use in a future CLIL in
all subjects successfully.
