BSI | Quality management system which any organisation can be accredited by. Different standards and numbers for different products. Includes the British Standards Kitemark which shows that a product has been externally tested and deemed safe and of a high quality. Passed rigorous quality control processes at all stages during design and manufacture. |
ISO | International standards. BSI are a leading member of the ISO and represents the UK's interest in the development of such standards. |
CEN CE | Means that the product has met all the requirements of all relevant European directives from the European Committee for Standardisation. Has a minimum standard of quality to allow it to be moved freely through the European Single Market |
