What is Immune system? This does a great job of keeping people healthy and preventing infections immune system. Also body's defense against infectious organisms and other invaders. The immune system is made up of a network of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to protect the body. The cells involved are white blood cells, or leukocytes, which come in two basic types that combine to seek out and destroy disease-causing organisms or substances.
What is Erythrocytes? The red blood cells. Important responsibility of carrying the oxygen throughout the body.
What is Leukocytes? The white blood cells. This are involved in functions controlled by the immune system. It have responsible for fighting infections
There are five important types of white blood cells? Thrombocytes (platelets), Plasma, Immunoglobulin (gamma globulin) and Fibrinogen
What is Thrombocytes? Also called Platelets. This are piece of cells that work to form blood clot. They work to keep body from losing too much blood when you sustain an injury and help in wound healing
What is Plasma? Imagine plasma as a river and the blood cells and platelets as leaves floating in it plasma is the 'stream' in bloodstream. These contains many important proteins without which you would die
Two major proteins contained in plasma are? Immunoglobulin (gamma globulin) and Fibrinogen
What is Immunoglobulin? The Gamma globulin is a broad term for a class of proteins that make up the different types of antibodies. This is help to fight infections, is controlled by the immune system
