What does RAM do? It stores data and information for currently running programs.
What does ROM do? It stores instructions for vital computer programs like booting up the computer (the bootstrap loader loader). It also stores the BIOS.
What does Virtual Memory do? This stores any currently running programs when the RAM is full. The new program is swapped for the least used program.
Where is Virtual Memory? Virtual Memory is in the hard drive which means the program stored there runs a lot slower.
