What does RAM do? | It stores data and information for currently running programs. |
What does ROM do? | It stores instructions for vital computer programs like booting up the computer (the bootstrap loader loader). It also stores the BIOS. |
What does Virtual Memory do? | This stores any currently running programs when the RAM is full. The new program is swapped for the least used program. |
Where is Virtual Memory? | Virtual Memory is in the hard drive which means the program stored there runs a lot slower. |
