| ¿What’s the present continuous? | Es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza principalmente para describir: • Referirse a una acción que está sucediendo en el preciso instante en el que se habla. • Referirse a ciertos actos que se realizan en el presente pero no necesariamente en el momento en el que se habla, acostumbran a ser situaciones temporales. o Examples: This summer I’m working in this cafetería • Actividades planificadas que, con certeza, se realizarán en un futuro cercano. o Examples: I’m having dinner with Sara tonight • Con el adverbio de frecuencia always para referirnos a acciones que se repiten con frecuencia y que generalmente representan una molestia para el hablante. o My sister is always putting on my clothes ¡, She is always singing¡! • Situaciones que están cambiando a nuestro alrededor. Generalmente este uso se construye con verbos como get, change, become, improve, begin, start, etc. o The situation in our country is improving |
| ¿How do we use the present continuous? | Se forma con el verbo ‘to be’ seguido del verbo principal en gerundio. En inglés, la estructura es exactamente la misma. |
