What is a constitution: The body of rules and laws by which Canada is governed.
what does a constitution contain: BNA acts of 1867, Amendment to the BNA acts, The acts which brought the final 6 provinces into confederation, Statute of Westminster of 1931 and charter of rights and freedoms of 1982.
what is the charter of rights and freedoms?: outlines the rights of citizens and permanent residents.
What are sections of the charter? fundamental of freedom, democratic rights, mobility rights, legal rights, equality rights, official languages of Canada and minority languages education rights.
What are limitations of rights: all rights have limits
What are human rights: every provinces outlines very specific rights within each provinces
What are responsibilities: The existence of rights also implies certain responsibility

What are municipalities? Local school board, public works, parks, financial committee, public transportation, urban planning.
What is the house of commons? The elected brand of Canada's parliament which creates legislation and votes bills into laws and constitutes of 338 seats.
How does the federal and provincial government make public policy? From the voice of the people.
What is public policy? A broad statement of what the government does
What is Royal Commission? a government appointed groups of citizens responsible for investigation matters of federal or provincial concerns.
What is civil servant? Carry out the public policy
What are some examples of civil servants? doctors, teachers
What do prime minister do? They are responsible with the cabinet and responsible with setting up public policies.
What are cabinets? minister responsible for specific departments
What is a majority group? occurs when a party wins more than half of the riding in and elected
What is the federal parliament = the queen, governor general
What is the governor general? ceremonial position, signs bills and laws
