The main western power was very interested in Japan
On March 1854, Japan politicians finally agreed with the Treaty of Kanagawa
Japan´s policy seclusions finally ended after 200 years
In 1858 Japan signed the TReaty of Amity to started the commerce with the USA
Meiji Restoration
Anti-government movements started in Japan
Thier inspiration was Aizawa Sheishisai and Sakuma Zozan.
Sakuma got many ideas from the western science and technology
Yoshida Shoin wanted the old feudal system to be transformed to stablish the national unity.
