FISH

You can tell the age of a scaly fish by counting the number of rings on its scales. Sometimes the rings on scales are wide and sometimes they are narrow depending on whether the fish has had a good supply of food.

Fish are aquatic animals that live in marine and freshwater enviroments (seas, oceans, rivers...) They have fins that help them to swim. They have scales.

NUTRITION:-Some are:  -carnivores like salmon  -herbibores like parrotfish  -omnivores like carp  -fish breathe through gills

REPRODUCTION:-fish have separates sexes-most of them are oviparous and their fertilisation is external-sharks and rays use internal fertilisation

INTERACTION:-fish have a senses organ called a lateral line -this runs along each side of the body and detects changes in water preassure or the presence of pray or predator

Fish scales are coloured so that the fish will blend in with its surroundigs.This is called: CAMOUFLAGE
